Introduction
Low dose aspirin (100 mg QD) significantly reduced cardiovascular death (0.8% vs. 1.4%, relative risk 0.56), but was associated with a higher risk of severe bleeding (1.1% vs 0.3%) vs placebo. Vitamin E (300 mg QD) was of no benefit.
