Indications
Advantages
- good for ataxia/motor planning problems
- good for Parkinson's patient's; won't fall over backward
- good for patients with gait too fast for pick-up walker
- good for patients with difficulty lifting a pick-up walker
- good for patients who need to limit weight bearing
- good for patients with balance problems
Disadvantages
- less stable than a stationary walker
- promotes an abnormal gait
- can be cumbersome to maneuver
