Introduction

Male:

• By veins from the testicle & epididymis
• Consists of 8 or 10 veins lying in front of the ductus deferens
• Part of the spermatic cord
• Part of the thermoregulatory system of the testis

its function in the male

• help keep the testis at a constant temperature slightly lower than the other body temperature

Female:

• The ovarian veins form this plexus between the layers of the broad ligament.
