Acute {pityriasis lichenoides et varioliformis acuta (PLEVA)} & chronic {pityriasis lichenoides chronica} forms.
Epidemiology
children & young adults
Pathology
- self-limited disease
- cutaneous infiltrate of cytotoxic T-cells[2]
Clinical manifestations
- mild course
- persistence of lesions & recurrence not uncommon
- vesicles, papules & crusted lesions may result in smallpox- like scars
