Introduction

The lobe of right lung lies above the oblique & horizontal fissures & includes 3 bronchopulmonary segments:

• apical (S I)
• posterior (S II)
• anterior (S III)

The lobe of left lung lies above the oblique fissure of lung. Contains 4 segments:

• apicoposterior (S I + II)
• anterior (S III)
• superior lingular (S IV)
• inferior lingular (S V)
