Introduction
A diagnostic instrument that emits an ultrasonic beam into the body, based on the principle of doppler effect.
Doppler ultrasound:
- used to visualize moving blood within blood vessels & to measure its velocity
Color doppler ultrasound:
- allows red & blue colors to be superimposed on the standard grayscale images
