Introduction
The largest & most prominent of the 3 papillary muscles.
- arise from the anterior wall of the right ventricle
- tendinous cords attach to the anterior & posterior cusps of the tricuspid valve
Anterior papillary muscle in left ventricle is larger than the right ventricle, because the first works harder.
