ethmoidal labyrinth; lateral mass of the ethmoid bone

Introduction

Group of communicating cavities in the lateral mass of the ethmoid bone. The air cells are arranged in three groups, anterior, middle & posterior. These cells are closed laterally by the orbital plate.
