cochlear duct; Lowenberg canal/scala

Introduction

A spirally arranged membranous tube suspended within the cochlea, lying between the scala vestibuli & scala tympani. One end of the cochlear duct is closed; the other end communicates with the saccule through the ductus reuniens.
