• affects females only
• onset 3-5 months of age

Pathology

agenesis of corpus callosum

Clinical manifestations

• spasms
• seizures
• mental retardation
• lesions of the retina

Management

• anticonvulsants for seizures

Prognosis:

• no standard treatment
• no cure
• some may survive into the mid twenties
