Introduction
Study characteristics:
- 500 patients with open or recently healed leg ulcerations
- due to venous insufficiency
Groups:
- surgery# + standard therapy*
- standard therapy* alone
* compression bandages, leg elevation & exercise
Results: recurrence less in surgery group (12% vs 28%)
