triticeal cartilage

Pathology

• a rounded nodule of cartilage, the size of a grain of wheat, occasionally present in the posterior margin of the lateral thyrohyoid ligament

Clinical manifestations

• may sometimes cause dysphagia & neck pain

Differential diagnosis

• clicking larynx
• Eagle syndrome
• hyoid bone syndrome
