- atherosclerotic cerebrovascular disease (38%)
- brain tumor (26%)
- subarachnoid hemorrhage (12%)
Complications
- neurologic complications (2.63%)[1]
- occur within 24 hours (2.63% of cases
- include
- transient ischemic attack (TIA; 2.09%)
- reversible deficits lasting more than 24 hours (0.36%)
- permanently disabling strokes (0.14%)
- death (0.05%)
