Indications
- chemotherapy regimen for treatment of Hodgkin's disease; associated with 84% complete remission & 48% 14 year survival
Adverse effects
- nausea & vomiting
- bone marrow suppression
- sterility
- 90% of males completing 6 cycles of therapy
- younger women are more resilient than older women
- 2% risk of developing secondary acute leukemia within 10 years of therapy (acute non-lymphocytic leukemia)
