Indications

• chemotherapy regimen for treatment of Hodgkin's disease; associated with 84% complete remission & 48% 14 year survival

Adverse effects

• nausea & vomiting
• bone marrow suppression
• sterility
  • 90% of males completing 6 cycles of therapy
  • younger women are more resilient than older women
• 2% risk of developing secondary acute leukemia within 10 years of therapy (acute non-lymphocytic leukemia)
