Clinical manifestations
- abdominal pain beginning in the periumbilical area, later localizing to the right lower quadrant (RLQ)
Laboratory
* WBC count for 3rd trimester may be as high as 17,000/uL
Radiology
- abdominal ultrasound is often 1st imaging test
- cross-sectional imaging with MRI is imaging modality of choice
Management
- not an indication for urgent delivery
