* butterbur rhizome extract standardized to 15 mg of petasin constituents
Adverse effects
- mild GI upset, belching
- pyrrolizidine alkaloids present in the Petasites plant are hepatoxic & carcinogenic - use only butterbur preparations in which these have been removed[2]
