Epidemiology
- less common than phototoxic drug reactions
- occurs in patients with prior sensitization to the offending drug
Pathology
- type IV hypersensitivity reaction
Clinical manifestations
- typically presents > 24 hours after exposure
- presents as eczematous dermatitis , less commonly as exaggerated sunburn.
