Introduction
In cardiopulmonary resuscitation:
- proportion of time rescuer(s) are performing chest compressions
Clinical significance
- a chest compression fraction of > 60% inproves likelihood of return of spontaneous circulation & survival to hospital discharge
- a chest compression fraction of > 80% is achievable & the recommended goal
