Clinical manifestations

• cough without other symptoms

Diagnostic procedures

• normal baseline spirometry
• positive provocation inhalation test

Differential diagnosis

• rule out other causes of cough
  • GERD
  • ACE inhibitor
  • smoking
  • upper airway cough syndrome

Management

• treat as asthma if reversible bronchoconstriction on provocation inhalation test
