Epidemiology
- found throughout the world in decomposing plants & soil
Pathology
- infrequent cause of human disease
- noted in a case of contact lens-associated keratitis[2]
- contact lens use is greatest risk factor (71%)[2]

Management
- does not reliably respond to commonly used topical antifungals such as natamycin or amphotericin B
- ophthalmic & oral voriconazole & oral terbinafine are effective
- refractory cases may respond to oral posaconazole[2]
