Etiology

• axial loading & hyperextension of the wrist Radiography:
• posterioanterior, lateral & oblique radigraphs of wrist
  • peri lunate dislocation with fracture of radial styloid

• capitate-lunate joint disruption
• lunate dislocation
• rupture of lunate-triquetrium ligament
• rupture of radius-scaphoid-capitate ligament
• rupture of lunate-scaphoid ligament

• consultation with a hand surgeon
