Indications

• prevention of hereditary angioedema attacks

Dosage

• 150 mg PO QD, 110 mg PO QD for persistent GI distress

110 & 150 mg oral capsule

Dosage adjustment in renal failure

• if creatinine clearance > 15 mL/min, no dosage adjustment needed
• not recommended if creatinine clearance < 15 mL/min,

Adverse effects

• QT prolongation (do not exceed 150 mg/day)

Mechanism of action

• kallikrein inhibitor
