Indications
- contact tracing can identify persons with transmissible infectious disease
- contact tracing slow spread of COVID-19 Close contact risk factors:
- - spending >= 15 minutes cumulative within 6 feet of an infected person in a 24 hour period defines "close contact" & risk for COVID-19[2]
- 6% of household contacts develop symptoms & test positive, vs 1% of work or social contacts
- sharing a bedroom or a vehicle with a case
- being spoken to by a case within 2 meters, especially for > 30 minutes
