Introduction
Legumes include alfalfa, clover, beans, peas, chickpeas, lentils, lupins, mesquite, carob, soybeans, peanuts.[1]
Most legumes have symbiotic nitrogen-fixing bacteria within root nodules. For this reason, they play a key role in crop rotation.[1]
