Etiology
- infection with Pseudomonas aeruginosa
- risk factors
- onycholysis[3]
- damp environment
- prolonged immersion in fresh water
Clinical manifestations
- onycholytic toenails with green discoloration
- green subungual pigmentation may involve the nail & proximal nail fold

Management
- cut the detached portion of the nail
- keep nails dry
- topical bacitracin or polymyxin B, applied 2-4 times/day for 1-4 months
- chlorine bleach, diluted 1:4 with water applied topically to affected nails.
- oral ciprofloxacin has been used
- tobramycin ophthalmic
