Indications
- assessment of diastolic heart failure (LV diastolic dysfunction, HFpEF) in patients presenting with dyspnea
Procedure
- BMI >= 30 kg/m2 (2 points)
- >= 2 medications for hypertension (1 point)
- atrial fibrillation, paroxysmal or persistent (3 points)
- pulmonary artery systolic pressure > 35 mm Hg (1 point)
- age > 60 years (1 point)
- elevated diastolic filling pressure, E/e' > 9 (1 point)
Interpretation
- score 0-9
- each point doubles risk
