faciobrachial dystonic seizure

Pathology

• disorder in watershed between epilepsy & movement disorders
• transitional presentation of limbic encephalitis

Clinical manifestations

• bilateral or unilateral arm flexion & facial contraction laterally every 20-30 minutes of 10-30 duration (case report)

Laboratory

• LGI1 Ab in CSF

Management

• refractory to anticonvulsants
• response to immunosuppression
