Introduction

Republican repeal of Affordable Care Act.

Notes

  • AMA opposes specific elements of the American Health Care Act:
  • the Congressional Budget Office determined that the American Health Care Act would diminish the federal deficit by $337 billion over the next 10 years, but increase the number of uninsured Americans by 23-24 million relative to the Affordable Care Act.[3][5]
    • 14 million more Americans would be uninsured by 2018[3][5]
