- copper-containing intrauterine device
- progestin-only implant
Indications
- prevention of pregnancy in sexually-active women*
* most effective methods of contraception
* highly effective 2 years beyond FDA-approved time frames[3]
Management
- prenatal counseling about LARC after childbirth recommended[2]
- women should be offered immediate postpartum LARC[2]
