Indications
- evaluation of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT)
Clinical significance
- sensitivity of 100%, specificity of 90% for (HIT)
- in association with the 4 Ts thrombocytopenia, time of thrombocytopenia, thrombosis, other causes for thrombosis accurately diagnoses HIT
