Introduction
intranasal zinc acetate & zinc gluconate
Indications
- common cold (no proof of effectiveness)
Dosage
- nasal gel
- zinc acetate (2X = 1/100 dilution), & zinc gluconate (1X = 1/10 dilution);
- intranasal spray
Adverse effects
- loss of smell ?
- may occur after first use or after multiple uses
- may be permanent[2]
