- diagnosis & management of Graves disease
- neonatal hypothyroidism
- postpartum thyroid dysfunction
Clinical significance
- measures the ability of antibodies to inhibit TSH binding to its receptor
- reflects the presence of either or both the stimulatory & inhibitory immunoglobulin classes
