Indications
- assessment for obstructive sleep apnea
Contraindications
- high probability of obstructive sleep apnea
Procedure
- Snoring
- Tiredness or daytime sleepiness
- Observed apnea during sleep
- Pressure (high blood pressure)
- BMI > 35
- Age : 50 years
- Neck circumference > 40 cm
- Gender: male
Interpretation
- score: 0-2 = low risk for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA)
- score: 3-4 = increased risk for OSA
- score: > 4 = increased risk for moderate-severe OSA
