• the toxin urushiol results in contact dermatitis

Clinical manifestations

• see contact dermatitis

Management

• high potency topical glucocorticoids for moderate to severe contact dermatitis (excepting face)
  • 10-21 days of treatment
  • oral corticosteroids (alternative)
• see contact dermatitis & poison oak, poison ivy & poison sumac
