acute effects^[1]
- acute dystonia
  - often involves neck, face, larynx or eye
  - rapidly reversed with IV diphendydramine
- acute akathisia
late-appearing persistent effects (tardive syndromes)
- tardive dyskinesia
- tardive dystonia
  - often affects the face, neck, arms, trunk
- tardive akathisia^[1]
subacute or chronic
- drug-induced parkinsonism
  - reversible with discontinuation of offending agent
