Introduction
Intoxication with an alcohol.
Etiology
* Metabolic acidosis with an elevated anion gap & osmolal gap should prompt an evaluation for methanol, ethylene glycol, & propylene glycol
Laboratory
- osmolal gap > 10 mOsm/kg H2O
Radiology
- neuroimaging only when specific indication[3]
Management
- naloxone for acute ethanol intoxication (respiratory depression)[4]
