- atypical hyperplasia on breast biopsy
- high-risk benign lesion[1]
- risk for breast cancer ~30% over 25 years
- found in ~10% of biopsies with benign findings
- atypical ductal hyperplasia & atypical lobular hyperplasia
- occur with equal frequency
- confer similar increased risks of later breast cancer[1]
- high-risk benign lesion[1]
