Introduction
In Dec 2014, the US Senate confirmed Dr. Vivek Murthy as surgeon general.
In April 2017, Dr. Vivek Murthy was fired by Donald Trump, & a nurse Sylvia Trent-Adams became acting Surgeon General.
In August 2017, the Senate confirmed Dr. Jerome Adams as the next U.S. Surgeon General. Dr. Adams is an anesthesiologist & former Indiana state health commissioner.
In March 2021 Vivek H. Murthy, MD, MBA, Vice Admiral confirmed as next U.S. Surgeon General
