Indications
- evaluation of sleep apnea
Contraindications
- general screening of asymptomatic individuals
- patients with significant cardiopulmonary disease
Procedure
- need determined by medical history + face-to-face (in-person or telemedicine) exam by a physician
- data must be interpreted by a provider who is board-certified in sleep medicine or overseen by a board certified physician
- test data alone should not be used to make diagnoses, evaluate treatment efficacy, or make treatment decisions
