Etiology

deposition of tin in tissue
- tin oxides, (stannous oxide (SnO) & stannic oxide (SnO2) deposited in lung tissue after inhalation

Pathology

no tissue reaction to tin oxides

Radiology

chest X-ray
- tin oxides are radiographically dense
