Introduction
An extension of the subarachnoid space surrounding blood vessels* extending into the brain or spinal cord. Lining of the Virchow-Robin spaces consist of pia mater & astrocytic processes.
* capillaries not surrounded by Virchow-Robin spaces
* Virchow-Robin spaces terminate into perivascular spaces in the brain
