Introduction

Encysted form of a fertalized macrogamete of zygote in coccidian sporozoa. Sporonts form within the oocyst wall, giving rise to sporoblasts which undergo sporogony to form sporocysts & eventually infectious sporozoites for the next stage of the sporozoan life cycle.
