Indications
- used for identification of cutaneous microfilaria.
Procedure
- lift skin with a needle & excise about 1 mg to a depth of 0.5 mm from several sites
- weigh each sample & place in 0.5 mL of saline for 4 hours
- examine wet mounts & Giemsa stains either directly or after filtration
