- ascitic fluid analysis:
- elevated ascitic fluid leukocytes with predominance of lymphocytes
Diagnostic procedures
- laparoscopy with biopsy, culture & histologic examination of peritoneal lesions if ascitic fluid suggests tuberculous peritonitis
