- common disorder in prepubertal females
Clinical manifestations
- generally asymptomatic
Complications
- urinary incontnence (postvoid dribbling or vaginal voiding)
- urinary tract infection
- iscomfort with voiding
Differential diagnosis
Management
- observation
- 80% spontaneous resolution within 1 year
- topical estrogen cream
- referral to urology or gyncecology
