Epidemiology
- 2% of infants
Clinical manifestations
- a small indentation in the skin located just above the buttocks over the sacrum
- present at birth
Complications
- may be a sign of spina bifida
- nearby tuft of hair, skin tag or skin discoloration may be signs of spina bifida
