Epidemiology
- one of the most common angle-closure glaucomas presenting in younger patients
- females 30-60 years of age
Pathology
- closing of the anterior chamber angle secondary to a large or anteriorly positioned ciliary body that mechanically alters the position of the peripheral iris in relation to the trabecular meshwork
Radiology
Management
- eye surgery
- pilocarpine may produce iris thinning & facilitate angle opening in some cases[1]
