- up to 3% of general population
Clinical manifestations
- generally asymptomatic
Complications
- serious bleeding may occur
- may be due to acquired von Willebrand's disease
- selective loss of large vWF multimers (see Heyde syndrome)
- may be due to acquired von Willebrand's disease
