Introduction
Experimental device.
Indications
- class 3 heart failure
- may be used in conjunction with cardiac resynchronization therapy
Mechanism of action
- presumptively provides changes in pulmonary artery pressure from which a physician can assess changes in heart failure status
Clinical trials
- lowers heart failure-related hospitalizations[1]
- number of days alive outside of hospital not much different
