Etiology
- unopposed estrogen in women taking hormone replacement therapy increase risk
- tamoxifen increases endometrial hyperplasia
Clinical manifestations
- abnormal uterine bleeding (most common presenting symptom)

Diagnostic procedures
- pelvic ultrasound for endometrial thickness
Complications
Management
- endometrial hyperplasia without atypia responds well to progestins
- hysterectomy for women with atypia, unless contraindicated[2]
